Day 17 - Tuesday 17 May - last day!

Well it's the last day so a bit of indulgence.
Buddha bunnies. There are lots of bunnies on the campsite. Domesticated ones have bred with wild ones.
Watching the huge tankers at Hook of Holland whilst waiting to sail. The end of a memorable trip.

Day 16 - Monday 16 May

It's a bank holiday here today. Caught the Park and Ride tram into Utrecht - a very fine city and definitely one to return to. Had an excellent lunch, visited the Miffy museum for a bit of culture.  Then met up with Piet,  a Facebook friend of Jane's who also has an interest in classic caravans.

Sunday 15 May 2016

Day 15 - part 2

Sunday afternoon in beautiful,  bustling Leiden.  Another town so another beer stop (coffee for Jane). The bar was packed with excellent live duo on guitar and violin.  No sleepy Sunday afternoon here!

Day 15 - Sunday 15th

Sunday morning in lovely Delft. Our busy lunchtime cafe

Day 14 - part 2

Visited stylish Gouda this afternoon with its canals and huge market square - the largest in the Netherlands.  The hot and sunny weather has disappeared and it is much cooler with cloud and rain.

Saturday 14 May 2016

Day 14 - Saturday 14 May

It's the Netherlands so it's windmills, bikes, beer and cheese. We are at the local market this morning.  Our campsite is very good again with toilet facilities so clean that it puts some UK sites to shame. Just booked our ferry crossing home for Tuesday night.

Day 13 - Friday 13th

Jane's hilarious assessment of last night's campsite. Now in Holland so photos of windmills and bikes to follow tomorrow.

Day 12 - Thurs 12 May

On our site near Bremmen, Germany - Snow White and the 9 dwarfs, Jane and I with the gnomes, the gnomes relaxing, 2 of the 5 donkeys on site, our lovely 49 year old home on wheels and Jane in the UNHEATED pool.

Day 11 - part two

Our caravan site is on the edge of the beautiful town of Tonder on the Danish/German border. Definitely a place/area to come back to

Day 11 - Wednesday 11th May

Just boarded the 7am ferry for our four and a half hour crossing from Sweden to Denmark.

One of the benefits of the early crossing is that you virtually have it to youself. Having a well earned rest ahead of the drive through denmark. Not using motorways to get to see more of the countryside

Day 10 - part 3

Jane in the fantastic 50m pool near the campsite.  The sea is so shallow that you have to walk to the end of the jetty to be able to dive in. We won't show you a photo of the icecream we had after this!

Day 10 - part 2

Just a few of the lovely houses here. No two are the same
